AHA Hybrid Course: CPR AED First Aid Certification

This is an American Heart Association (AHA) Hybrid Course for CPR AED and First Aid Certification. This course is designed for non-medical professionals and includes both online learning and an in-person skills session. Please follow the steps below for course registration and completion.

Hybrid Course Overview (Online + In-Person Skills Session)

Hands-On Skills Session
To participate in the hybrid option, participants must complete the online course through the American Heart Association website (link below). Each participant must have their own individual course, as the online courses cannot be shared or viewed collectively. Completing the online course under your name is required to receive a personal certificate of completion.

Course Steps:

1. Complete Online Course - $21

   • Estimated Time: 1 hour

   • Link to Course: Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Online 

2. Certificate of Completion

   • Print or email your online certificate and bring it to the in-person skills session.

3. In-Person Skills Session - $59

   • Register for the in-person skills session and complete hands-on training with a certified instructor.

   • Certification cards are issued the same day and are valid for 2 years.

Note: You may register for both the online and in-person components at the same time, but ensure the online course is completed before attending the skills session.

Who Needs CPR AED First Aid Certification?

This certification is generally required for those in non-medical professions, including but not limited to:

• Teachers & Teacher Assistants

• School Support Staff & Coaches

• Athletic Trainers

• Community Center Staff & Camp Counselors

• School Bus Drivers

• Personal Trainers

• Daycare Workers, Babysitters, & Nannies

• Nursing Home Employees

• Construction Workers & Security Guards

• Linemen & Labor Union Employees

• Care Home & Foster Care Workers

• Casino Workers & Volunteers

If your profession is not listed above, you may need a BLS (Basic Life Support) certification instead. Please check the class calendar for available BLS courses.
